Health & Beauty Without the Sleep – How to Fake a Good Night’s Rest

Look Like a Beauty Without the Sleep – How to Fake a Good Night’s Rest

As we move forward and adjust our internal daylight saving clocks, we should be prepared for those mornings when sleep doesn't come naturally - a condition known as the "Daylight Savings Hangover." The good news is that there is a way to look fresh and awake - even if your sleeping plan is in a dump.

Tip 1: Shut it down - electronic i.e.. Before going to bed, turn off all electronic media - that means your TV, computer and, of course, your blackberry. All of these are brain stimulants, and if you reply to emails in bed at 10pm, you’ll have a hard time falling asleep. Switch the power switch at least an hour before bedtime.

Tip 2: Get up… NOW! When the alarm goes off, get out of bed immediately. Snooze is not sleep; just an unavoidable stretch.

Tip 3: Now that you're awake - do something. Try to exercise in the morning to be energized and feel the energy of the day. Take a quick run or hit a spin class early in the morning. Make sure you challenge yourself with the first thing and see how easy your walk in the morning is.

Tip 4: Hydrate. Good-looking skin is not only what you put on it, but also what you put on your body. Skip that morning cup of coffee, which can calm the water, and drink a glass of ice water instead. Cold water will not only kick you in the morning, but will also help soak the skin in water, leaving it looking and feeling fresh.

Tip 5: Wake up and cheat! Use hydrating and rejuvenating makeup like Almay Wake-Up Makeup - a favorite of celeb Kate Hudson. This product contains essential minerals and ingredients, such as cucumber and aloe, which soothe the skin. It also has the first hidden water technology - when the powder touches your skin, it gives off a cooling sensation that gives you more energy in the morning.

Tip 6: DO NOT PLAY breakfast. It has worked, it has a lot of water, it looks good. Why is it depriving your body of the nutrients it needs to stay looking and feeling refreshed by stepping out the door without catching a quick bite?
